goodnewsforantrim - who...?
goodnewsforantrim.com is supported by the fellowship of Christians who meet in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ at the Gospel Hall, Lough Road, Antrim.
Who are we:
- We prefer to be known as Christians, without any denominational title.
- We have all had the experience of putting our trust in our Lord Jesus Christ as personal Saviour - so we have obtained eternal life.
Some of our beliefs:
- There is one God, but three persons in the Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- These three persons are all eternal and have equal divine majesty.
- God created the universe and will be the judge of all mankind.
- The Lord Jesus was born of a virgin mother, Mary.
- He lived a perfectly sinless life because He was absolutely holy.
- He died for our sins and rose from the dead.
- He went back bodily to heaven.
- He will come again as He promised.
- The Bible was inspired by God and is completely accurate and trustworthy. It was given to mankind so that we might know God.
- Everybody has sinned.
- Each person can have forgiveness of their sins.
- This forgiveness comes to those who repent of their sins and put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our practices:
- We baptise believers by immersion, as our Lord commanded. In this way believers publicly confess Jesus as Lord.
- We meet every Sunday for the Lord's Supper, in remembrance of the Lord Jesus Christ. Without presiding minister/priest/pastor our worship is directed by the Holy Spirit and guided by the Holy Scriptures.
- We have weekly meetings for prayer and Bible Study.
- We have a Sunday School and a childrens' meeting.
- We have a Bible class particularly for young Christians.
We gladly welcome visitors to any or all of these meetings - directions below
