Discover Our Mission and Beliefs
Who Are We?
A Fellowship of Believers
Good News for Antrim is the mission of the Christians who faithfully gather in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ at the Gospel Hall on Lough Road, Antrim. We come from diverse backgrounds and experiences of life but emphasise our unity in Christ and a commitment to proclaiming the Gospel to all. Belief in Jesus as personal Savior has granted us eternal life that fuels our passion to share the good news with others and to live meaningful lives for God.
Foundational Beliefs
Are based on the Word of God as contained in the Holy Bible:
GOD
- There is one God, but three persons in the Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
- These three persons are all eternal and have equal divine majesty
- God created the universe and will be the judge of all mankind
JESUS CHRIST
- Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God
- He was born on earth of a virgin mother, Mary
- He lived a perfectly holy life because he was absolutely holy
- He died for our sins and rose from the dead
- He returned back bodily to heaven
- He will come again as He promised
THE BIBLE
- The Bible was inspired by God
- It is completely true and accurate
- It was given to mankind so that we can know God
HUMANKIND
- Everyone has sinned
- Each person can have forgiveness of their sins
- This comes to those who repent of their sins and put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ
- All believers in Christ are part of the body of Christ, His universal church
- Believers should live their lives to bring glory to God.
PRACTICES
EVANGELISM
We seek to make known the Good News of Jesus Christ via a weekly Sunday School for children and Sunday Gospel Services for adults. We use other channels through the year
BAPTISM
We baptise believers by water immersion, as our Lord commanded. In this way they publically confess Him as Lord
REMEMBRANCE
We meet every Sunday for the Lord's Supper where we break bread and drink of the cup in remembrance of our Lord Jesus Christ
FELLOWSHIP
We have weekly meetings for prayer and Bible teaching. We gather to enjoy fellowship and encourage one another.
DISCIPLESHIP
We seek to encourage each believer to dedicate throughout the week all aspects of their lives, personal, family and public, to the glory of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
MISSION
We seek to promote and support local mission and international missionary activities and workers.
